K9 PROTECTION & DETECTION TEAM
GENERAL PURPOSE
We provide security dogs as part of our service to aid a handler in finding a trespasser. They are extremely effective as a visual deterrent as well as having a greater sense of smell and hearing when looking for an active intruderK9 security dogs are also highly effective where a small number of security guards may be outnumbered. They are also a cost-effective way of having a further deterrent on site.
EXPLOSIVE DETECTION DOGS
An Explosive Detection dog (EDD) remains the most consistent and reliable method of detecting explosives. Our explosive detection teams can be employed to search buildings, vehicles, aircraft, ships, hotels, sporting events, concerts and conferences. Bomb Dogs as they are also called are quicker, more effective and significantly more accurate than a human search team. They provide a high profile deterrent and deliver reassurance to staff, visitors, customers and the general public. Stadiums and arenas require robust security to protect fans, players, event participants, staff and the venue. Explosive threats have become more prevalent, requiring an effective security solution. The use of detection dogs (sniffer dogs) in crowded places provides an extra layer of security, enhancing a stadium/arenas existing security measures.
DRUG DETECTION DOGS
Our passive drug detection dogs scan people entering workplaces, nightclubs, festivals, airports, train stations and many other environments. Worked on a lead by the handler, our dogs make no contact with the people they scan. We work alongside Gardai and If drugs are detected on a person the dog will indicate by stop and stare, giving grounds for a full search to be conducted for the possession of drugs. LFK9 Security is currently working with one of Irelands main transportation services.
SEARCH AND RESCUE
Our dog teams, which consist of the handler and their dog, search anywhere in Ireland and are effective in the mountains, woodlands, rural and urban areas, waterways and seashore, as well as in locating accident or disaster victims. The canines involved in search and rescue missions are heroic dogs that optimize their natural abilities to help distressed people. Dogs are specially equipped to be rescuers and can home in on a lost person with their amazing sense of smell.
